Similarities to Michael Haneke's "Funny Games" (1997) (original especially).

Hi, did anyone else who saw it find some similarities to that, particularly in the movie's premise and its execution, of Michael Haneke's "Funny Games" (1997), a 90s Austrian black comedy psychological thriller, especially how that film and this one 30 years prior to that, had two young men who were terrorizing people and holding them captive for their own amusement?

And do you think Michael Haneke may also have seen this film and gotten some inspiration for it?
