We probably had 20, max. I find that surprising because my neighborhood has seen an increase in young families moving in over the past few years.
shareI didn't stay home to give out candy but my FB friends have said how things went for them. Some got ZERO kids & others saw a hundred or more! Quite the disparity in numbers. I don't know why that is.

I spent all day setting up a Halloween scene in my front yard with graves, coffins, skeletons, candles, sound effects, etc.
I bought a real antique scythe and dressed up as Death.
Four kids showed up trick-or-treating.
One of them paused to look at my front yard show. "That's not very cool" he said.
Never again.

Always get between 75-100 depending on the weather. We live in one of those neighborhoods parents drive their kids to and drop them off because of flat streets and close houses.....and a neighbor who owns a big candy store gives out the BIG candy bars (as in JUMBO size), so it's an attraction for the kids. My parent's only got 10 kids last year in a neighborhood that used to average about 150 back in the 80's.....not as many kids and they live on a hill, i.e. lazier, spoiled children these days!!

I just moved into an apartment complex next to lots of houses. I remember trick or treating in this neighborhood when I was a kid, but I can't remember if I went to the apartments. I'll find out soon enough if kid's will come, I'll have a bowl of candy just in case. If they don't come, more candy for me. Either way I win.

I always get zero, have for many years now.
I think parents are paranoid about it anymore, and prefer to take the kids to church "Trunk or Treat" events instead. It sucks, the fundies are even trying to coopt Halloween.
