Pure nonsense.

what happened to her??

reply

Married some Italian philisophy professor, IIRC. Her retirement was a great loss.

Very.

Not just beautiful, but she had a certain something.

For my money, the "babes of the sixties" -- on movies and on television -- were the cream of the fantasy crop.

Consider, things were more liberated than in the 40s and 50s on screen; these gals could wear itsy bitsy teensy weeny bikinis and lingerie as had been banned for two decades before then. They could be more direct in their sexual insinuations.

And so many of them were GORGEOUS:

The Americans: Pamela Tiffin. Ann-Margret(an immigrant, but not for long.) Stella Stevens. Jill St. John. Paula Prentiss(at least, playing a stripper in What's New Pussycat, and what a VOICE.) Barbara Bouchet. Practically every woman on TV (special shout out to Sherry Jackson and Michelle Carey for two.)

The "Foreigners": Elke Sommer. Claudia Cardinale. Ursula Andress. Virna Lisi ("How to Murder Your Wife" -- how COULD he, the way she came rising up out of the cake?) Daliah Lavi.

With the liberation of the 70s, we still had pretty women in pin ups, but things were a bit de-sexed(Farrah Fawcett, Daisy Dukes) and santized. Not to mention all those skin and bones types like Susan Anspach, Lauren Hutton, Diane Keaton, and Shelly Duvall.

I suppose Baywatch put things back in order, though...but I miss the personalities of those 60's chicks...
