The movie The Bedford Incident had SP as a major player. There is a hovering notion that there is something about his race that makes the movie hum, but they never mention it. Great film, with Richard Widmark in the lead. Not far from Captain Queeg, but ....

shareGlad to be of help. It's a nifty little film. I only discovered this myself somewhat recently, and like i said, SP kind of stands out as being a black man and a civilian on a Naval ship, but that's not at all what the movie is about. He's treated with whatever dignity you would afford anyone.
