I was very young when Dark Shadows first aired, but I have a vivid memory that scared me. A man (?) was walking through the woods and someone (I believe a werewolf) jumped out of a tree (?) and attacked him.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? Any idea what episode # it might be?
I just watched this episode on Amazon Prime. The werewolf AKA Chris Jennings jumps out at Barnabas and his entire face fills the screen at he approaches his intended victim. As a young child I would be scared of this also and understand why it is so vivid in your memory.

shareThe first few minutes of episode 673 are probably what you are looking for. The werewolves face fills the screen right before the opening and then after that Barnabas fights the werewolf off with his cane and there are some more closeups of the werewolf. There were a lot of closeups of the werewolf during this time, but I even thought it was cool how the werewolf ran toward the camera.
