As the show itself was a parody, so were the names of the politicians. Gov Stonefellow = NY Gov Rockefeller and Mayor Linseed = NYC Mayor Lindsay.

And we have Londinium, the location of The Londinium Larcenies/The Foggiest Notion/The Bloody Tower. No surprise, that's the name of the Roman settlement on the current site of the City of London.

One of my favorite actors, Michael Rennie, was The Sandman also known as Doctor Somnambula.

The first time I heard something about the Ma Barker gang (when I was a kid), I thought that they got the name wrong because on Batman it was Ma Parker! lol

Shame- a spoof of Shane- played by Cliff Robertson and his sidekick Calamity Jan, played by Mrs. Robertson, Dina Merrill.
