Van Cleef stole the movie

I agree. I found myself liking his character more than Clint Eastwood’s. Came across as more charming, intelligent, composed.

I love his character. Probably the most well developed of any of the roles in the Man With No Name trilogy.

I only watched the trilogy once, years ago, in fairly rapid succession. This is the one which stuck with me, largely due to Van Cleef. If every anyone was born to play a vicious western killer, it was him.
