Pretentious, art house stuff

The main attraction would seem to be the ability to imagine what it would be like to date either Monica Vitti or Alain Delon. Unless you're a film professor who enjoys finding the many easter eggs left around to find like medieval iconography.

A couple of interesting small bits:
- when they fly over Rome, the famous Colosseum appears to be fully intact. It appears that actually it is not Rome, but a model of Ancient Rome.

- when we open a scene looking at some buildings, suddenly Vitti walks in and we see that she is much taller than they are. They are in fact models.

A couple of visual tricks don't add up to pretentious. Please give additional examples, to help convince me.
