Too Late To Be Considered a Noir Film? Or... A Film Noir?

Paul Schrader said that Orson Welles's Touch of Evil was the last Noir, circa 1958. Guess it was, or if not since that's an opinion, and a good one... that Film Noir ended that year, or at least before 1960 rolled in.

Schrader was right, Touch of evil is the last wave of the dark. I still see that Underworld USA bears a lot of film noir charactoristics and Fuller spilled some final drops of the genre. Great movie(s).

Film noir flourished from the mid 1940s to the mid 1950s, but it never ended.

it looks like a 40s or 50s film.
