Every romantic comedy wants to be this film.

For instance in Kate & Leopold there are a few references in it.

1. Moon River can be heard twice in the movie.
2. Meg Ryan's charcther asks Hugh Jackman's charcther did he ever see Breakfast At Tiffanys and he says No...not yet.
3. The apartment that Kate(Ryan)stays in is like Holly Golightly's apartment.

Other Rom Coms that share references to Breakfast at Tiffanys includes; Chasing Liberty(Mandy and McGuire have the exact same masks that Audrey and George wore when they stole from the discount store, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (the song Moon River is heard).

Yes, I think there are a lot of romantic comedies that reference BaT or make a homage to it, or use it as a blueprint.

Never thought of Kate and Leopold..... love that one.
I think of Pretty Woman.

It does seem really influential on those 90's Nora Ephron/Julia Roberts/Meg Ryan rom-coms.

Yes it does. I enjoy many of these romantic movies but Breakfast at Tiffanys holds a special place in my heart.

"Breakfast at Tiffany's" is the quintessential rom-com film! This film always makes me want to go grab Starbucks and a pastry as well Lol. Yes I feel like a lot of the rom-com's which came after tried to mimick these classics in some way, basically put their own spin on them.
