This topic may very well have been posted before.

Who do you prefer,Bub or uncle Charley?
I quite liked them both.But if I had to choose,I would go with Bub.William Frawley was more familiar to me.(Plus doing the show was among the highlights of his life.)(Apparently he couldn't stand William Demearest.)

Never chose one over the other - they were both great.

Sad at the passing of William Frawley - enjoyed him as Fred Mertz and Bub as well as on Miracle On 34th Street , etc.
