One of the best shows of all time

Finished the last season today.

It's definitely one of my favourite series of all time. The small town where everybody is basically family, and come together for the betterment of the town. If there's strife, it is resolved in a manner in where decency, integrity and common sense prevail. Sometimes the truth is stretched, with hilarious outcomes, but it's very charming anyway.

The show doesn't get too political or religious, which is good. Mayberry is a town of good folk, decent people who care about each other.

The series finale was terrible. It was just a setup for the new series Mayberry R.F.D.
However, this show is wonderful.

More people should watch it. It will enrich your life, no doubt about it.

i agree; it's aged particularly well. I think there will be a point in the future when people will no longer relate to the basic rules of morality and decency that this show espouses, but for now, it's a great program.
