Ninety Years Without Slumbering

Whenever I watch this episode I don’t get the big deal why his granddaughter and her husband want to separate him from his clock. He’s near the end of his life and he enjoys tinkering with the clock. He was apparently able to function throughout his life, work a job and raise a family despite his superstitious belief in the clock. Why not just leave him be?

I totally agree. Never made sense to me either.

Yeah, it's a weak premise for an episode although any TZ with Ed Wynn is a worthwhile.

I think they tried to work in Marnie's pregnancy as part of a concern but it really didn't work out well. But just go to general discussion here and you'll probably find a half dozen posting about people being up in arms about something that doesn't concern them in any way. I guess it's the human condition.
