Back To The Original Series

MeTV's airing the original Twilight Zone again weeknights at 12:30 (actually AM, as we all know). They didn't begin with the first season, so last night was The Shelter (excellent and very well made) and now it's another excellent one on half-past midnight: The Passersby. It's eerie and dreamy, very well written and acted. I couldn't get into the color series they replaced it with for the summer.

I was upset that they removed the 80s series. The original series has been played so many times, it was a breath of fresh air to see something different. But my buddy has the DVDs of both versions so I can see the 80s episodes I missed....

I know. Everyone's different. Since I don't have cable I rely on digital channels for older films and TV shows, so MeTV is a lifeline to classic television of my growing up and young adult years.

Likewise. I just stopped watching it until TOS came back.

Yes. I guessed, correctly, that the later color series wouldn't last; or wouldn't last on MeTV. The original is the classic series is the one to watch, though I know that TOS has its fans.
