a best actor oscar nomination?

It's a very good film and he's very good in it. But he's also Peck being Peck in the old fashioned way of big stars and I'm going to say probably not.

I've always liked this film, rewatched it recently and I think Peck is very good in it. But perhaps more a case of a perfect fit than stretching for the right performance?

I agree it is like he is playing himself much of the time.
