That's what the Judge asked when Raymond Burr entered the courtroom on the Jack Benny Program.
I laughed so hard! Jack was on trial for murdering a CHICKEN!
I watched this episode this morning. Very funny! Perry wasn't doing too well in getting Jack off the hook. His reason? Perry had better writers than Jack!
Raymond Burr could be so funny. Check out this episode!
Hahaha!
Once, there was an elderly woman who approached Raymond Burr after recognizing him in public, asked him why his character, Perry Mason, never lost a case. Burr responded kindly, "Madam, if only you could see the rest of my cases not televised on the weekend." [paraphrased]
That's funny! I have read that he and the rest of his co-stars always had fun with each other on the set.
Apparently, Burr was great at pranking the people he worked with.
Cool, I did not know that. Did you know Barbara Hale, the actress who played Della Street, Perry Mason's secretary, her son William Katt, is best known for being the title character in The Greatest American Hero? It's a small world.
Yes. I have known that since he played Tommy Ross in Carrie. After seeing that, I read about him in magazines.
I loved him in The Greatest American Hero. Did you see the episode where Barbara Hale made a guest appearance on that show as his mother?
The really cool thing in all of this is that William Katt played Paul Drake Jr. in a number of the Perry Mason TV re -boot episodes.
No, it's been so long. I plan on re-watching American Hero since it's in the works for an apparent reboot by ABC. The handful of Perry Mason TV movies I saw were better than what I expected. I didn't know there was also a reboot. I'm going to have to check it out now because of you! (^=^)
