Cool Movie

This movie is not as well-known as some of the Universal films of the 1950's, and it really should be.

A group of archaeologists in the Near East are excavating a site near a mountain when an earthquake strikes, and uncovers a stone tablet that tells of an ancient Sumerian dynasty that disappeared after the Great Flood. They climb the mountain and fall into a cave discovering a group of Sumerians that has survived underground since 3000 BC.

It is an intriguing film and is surprisingly well-acted featuring John Agar, Nestor Pavia Alan Napier, and Beaver Cleaver's dad, Hugh Beaumont. I got my copy in the Universal Value Pack with a bunch of their other sci-fi films of the 1950's.

Try it. I'll be surprised if you are disappointed.
