Not a single Greek in the cast

Why couldn't they cast any real Greeks for this film? As a Greek I was distracted by the un-Greek accents by the actors. They sounded so far from Greek I was ultimately offended. Robert Wagner was acceptable (many great roles like Yul Brenner played parts not of their country's or even continent's origina) but the lesser roles could have gone to Greeks. This could have been a much better movie had they TRIED to employ some realism.

Watch 16 Fathoms Deep, at least they used some of the locals as extras. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0040797/

can you believe robert wagner who you are used of seeing in the austin powers movies were starring in early 1950's flicks, i remember i was surprised at first just seeing him in a 1960's movie, i think the title was "all the fine young cannibals" airing on tcm, a channel which unfortunately shut down where i live. i guess he was lead already in the 1950's, i saw him appear in the original titanic movie, then just a few months ago on a talk show and he still doesn't appear as old as you figure he must be by now. i don't know about you but as i caught this airing it had the weirdest screen format, like with huge black frames both on sides of the screen as well as above and below, so the picture was just a small box in the middle... i figure this sort of movie really worked best in colour.

switch me on,
like an old fashioned tv or radio,
i had been off so long,
strut around blew the dust off,
your tight clothes voice high,
beauty and heat shook me alive,
created a wind by throwing her big brown hair,
sneaked in my set and blew my wire away.

They didn't have any Greek actors who were film stars and charismatic enough to carry a movie. You were ultimately offended? So what, you'll survive.
