Some movies just make you happy.
This is one of those movies. I'm glad I was able to see it. Not sure how I missed it all of these years.
This is just a great holiday feel good movie. I know some people hate these kind of movies but don't we need them sometimes to lift our spirits? I know I was kind of down the other day and it was on TCM so I watched it. It was a great escape and really picked me up. Look forward to watching it again this Christmas season.
shareEverybody has already said the same - can't believe they've not seen it before. I'm a bit of a specialist in 'old' movies (I like to think - who am I kidding?). I've reached the age of 61 (born Aug 9 1955) and never seen this movie before! Not sure how or why that hasn't happened. Watching it now on TCM (thank you Ted Turner). Can't believe I've never even known about it. I LOVE it. On Christmas Eve too - how appropriate is that

I'm watching it to...For about the 30th time! One of my absolute favorites. My daughter bought it for me on DVD a couple of weeks ago for $6.00. When I happened to catch it on TCM...I just had to stop and watch it. I am a HUGE fan of elegant fashions from the Golden Age of Hollywood; and the scene with Mike O'Connor's wife, Mary, in that elegant, sophisticated ensemble with her daughter at the Waldorf- Astoria....Is just one of the reasons I watch this delightful family Merry Christmas Movie
