Bishops wife vs preachers wife.

I saw the Preacher's wife but I barely remember it. I saw the Bishop's wife and absolutely loved it! I don't often watch movies again that I've already seen but I would happily watch the Bishop's wife again and again; just for the enjoyment of it. If I had a chance to see the Preacher's wife again, I probably would but it would be mostly out of curiosity to see how the two compare.

Loretta Young is talented actress. She can be realistically sweet and not cloying. You actually believe her as bishops wife. David Niven and Carey Grant is very talented. The supporting cast is much better. The script is superior. It has old Hollywood charm.
