Continuity with 'Son of F.'--two questions

I haven't seen this film in many years and, as a result, have two questions concerning continuity between it and the previous entry in the series, Son of Frankenstein:

1. Is there an explanation as to why Igor is alive here after having been (apparently) shot to death by Wolf (Basil Rathbone) in SoF, and if so, what is it?
2. When the Monster fell into the sulfur pit at the climax of SoF, he was wearing the big, furry vest (or tunic, as some call it) that he'd had on throughout the picture. Is he wearing it when he's found in the same but dried up sulfur pit in this film?

Depending on the answers to these questions, one or two new entries might be needed on this movie's Goofs list.

Question 1) Ygor's basically a tough guy to kill. In the opening scene, after the mayor points out that Ygor was "riddled with bullets from the gun of Baron Frankenstein himself," one of the disgruntled villagers says, "But he does not die that easily...they hanged him once, and still he lives!" (Quote may not be exact, but pretty close.) Later on, Ygor complains to Ludwig of being "lame and sick from the bullets your brother fired into me."

Question 2) When Ygor digs him out of the dried sulfer, the monster appears to be wearing the vest-like affair, although the fleece covering looks to have been burned/boiled away by the heat when he fell into it in the previous film. By the time he and Ygor show up in Visaria, the monster's been cleaned up and is back in his familiar black coat (which I always assumed was under the vest anyway).

I cannot accept these answers. I rather call them plot holes. No further explanation needed

I thought for sure you were gonna ask "how did the monster get a little pudgy while buried in the sulfur pit?" 😉
