That *beep* Minnie character

Archaic comedic relief stock character.

She had no funny lines in this movie. She was terrified and alerted the village the Monster is still alive.

reply

It's more her over the top acting that's funny. Not her lines. As I said in this topic 7 years ago, she brought down the tone of the movie. The first one had a better tone. Nobody in the first was as over the top in their acting as her.

reply

She was probably a stage actor previously where over acting is the norm

reply

Yeah but so were people in this and the original Frankenstein. Yet none of them were as over the top as her.

reply

Yeah, Una O'Connor was to THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN what Chris Tucker was to THE 5th ELEMENT--something that director found to be absolutely hilarious but that was, to everyone else in the world, as humorous as a gangrenous limb.

reply

Not everyone. It seems to be about 50/50.

reply

She adds to any film even if the character doesn't fit.

reply

I like this film but she does make it inferior to the first film imo.

reply

I can live with that
