A better film
Inalways heard about how the Spanish version was better due to the filmmakers watching the American version and upping the anti. From what I e seen, this is true. Though, I still prefer lugosi.
shareLugosi is brilliant, but I do remember enjoying "Spanish Dracula" a little better than the American version. It's been awhile since I've seen it, though, so I don't quite recall why... I've heard that the Spanish film used the same sets, just at night, and so that film already had the added boost of a more macabre atmosphere. Some people have cited the performances as superior. I should rewatch it; thanks for the reminder!
