Just watched it for the first time

And I thought it was a pretty good movie I never got bored while watching it.

I watched it for the first time last night. It did have a certain charm but ultimately I was disappointed. The first half hour or so was genuinely creepy but it got increasingly muddled afterwards. The acting performances were equally great and terrible, some looked completely bored when they read their lines.

In understand its cinematic importance and can see how it influenced so many things that came aferwards. I get it, but it isnt the masterpiece I expected.

I just watched it on TCM and had exact same reaction as you.

Yes, it is very good. I've seen it many times and it doesn't get old for me. It isn't very long either so if you're in the mood for a short vampire movie that will still leave quite an impact this is the one for you.

I watched it for the first time in about a decade. It's better than I remember it being. Good stuff.

I felt like hiding under my seat in the theater when I first saw this in its original 1931 run

Just watched it for the first time, now.

It's really good. Extremely atmospheric. Bela Lugosi looks a bit terrifying as the Count.
Only negative is the sheer amount of overacting.

A highly recommended watch.
