How many versions of this have you seen?

I saw an old color version made many decades later, which was excellent.

Now I'm watching the 1924 silent Black & White version, on EPIX as part of a free On Demand Preview through Comcast/Xfinity (ending 11 Oct 2022.). I read they used piano wire for the magic rope stunt. But I still don't see how Douglas Fairbanks climbed that thing so fast.
