Visited kids at a Children's Hospital

She visited kids at a hospital, bringing them gifts. She is such a sweetheart and seems like a genuinely lovely person. She is beautiful, inside and out.

PR stunt.

Way to be cynical. She didn't have to do this. She is already popular and well liked and her career is doing really well. If this was someone who wasn't well liked or who was having trouble getting roles, then maybe you would have a point.

I'm just messing with you, Steven.

reply

Oh, you rascal.

If she did it or donated money and nobody knew, and someone eventually found out, I'd say you were right.

But clearly this is more of a photo OP.

Some celebrities even do fake donations, which means the news says they donated but they actually did not, but the organisations are willing to admit that for publicity, because they are celebrities.

So it is kind of hard to tell what kind of people they are.

What is especially interesting is that Steven Spielberg is the chairman of the Starlight Children's Foundation.

Don't get me wrong, even just for publicity I am still happy they did good things. But I won't so gullible to just believe what media are selling.

It could be a PR stunt, but not all charitable works are PR stunts. I will give her the benefit of the doubt and say that it isn't a PR stunt.
About the only celebrity I have ever truly heard of that is self-effacing is Keanu Reeves. I am sure he is not the only one who truly does good work, however. I have heard that Gary Sinise, after having been in "Forrest Gump", have devoted himself tirelessly to veteran's problems.

I think there are actually people do charity work without a camera crew following them around, or just to pad their resumes.

But I agree most celebrities doing charity either doing them for publicity or at least making sure they are getting the credit.
