What in the hell ever happend to this Walking Dead spin-off with Rick & Michonne?

Kept hearing about this over and over for years ... have never seen or heard a peep about this . Seems like AMC dropped the ball on these spin-offs and maybe no one is interesting anymore?

Was going to be a movie, but now it's just going to be a 3 episode long trilogy.
