He said it's probably never gonna happen cause he doesn't own the rights. He also said that when grindhouse didn't do well that was pretty much the end of that. I don't get that cause then how was hobo with a shotgun able to get made?

No I was just curious about it and looked it up and he said he wanted to do it but he doesn't own the rights. This is an old article from 2013.
