Most beloved of the Gilligan cast?

Just occurred to me that of all the cast members, she seems like the one that gets the most "love." Bob Denver, Alan Hale Jr, Tina, Backus, all great in their roles, but I get the feeling Dawn Wells, in her relatively small-ish place in the cast, is the most beloved. Is it just me?

But I will give a nod to Russell Johnson. I never saw him as anything but The Professor until much later when I noticed him popping up a lot on old Westerns, often as a bad guy.
Seemed like a handsome guy, too, that no one ever commented on. He wasn't some caricature like the Howells and Ginger, just this fairly handsome fellow who was unusually smart. Not interested in the ladies, either. Hmmm ....

She was the best looking, Ginger was attractive but was cold and shallow. Mary Ann was the whole girl next door package. She was also the most realistic character.

So yeah she was probably the most beloved of the cast as she was the easiest to relate to.
