Pelosi promises "There will not be another shutdown."

In an interview today, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi let T-rump know she's boss (once again), by telling the journalist "There will not be another shutdown."

The question was asked whether there will be another shut-down next week, or will an agreement be reached to keep it open by the February 15 deadline. Pelosi was quite confident it will remain open, as a House-Senate panel will be able to reach a deal which will not include any additional money approved by the Democrats to fund Trump's border wall.

She believes that Republicans - especially T-rump - are unprepared to allow another shutdown to happen. "There will not be another shutdown. No, it's not going to happen."

Got that Ann Coulter?

In case you missed the 'breaking news' at 8:30, there has been a bipartisan agreement reached "in principle" this evening. They have the next few days to have him sign off - so once again, it's up to T-rump. If he doesn't, he owns yet another 'shut down'.

Trump told the crowd in El Paso, "I will never sign a bill that forces the mass release of violent criminals into our country. And I will never abolish or in any way mistreat our great heroes from ICE and Border Patrol and law enforcement."

Trump doesn't even know how many violent criminals are crossing the border illegally and neither do you. Trump could build a bunch of scarecrows and claim they are working and you would have no idea.

T-rump also told Americans:

“I will build a great, great wall on our southern border. And I will have Mexico pay for that wall.” - June 16, 2015

“And, by the way, Mexico will pay for it. It’s going to be a great wall,” he added, because “I know how to build.” - August, 2015

So let him keep his word on these prior promises (five out of two dozen which say the same thing), and then we could move along to what he said in El Paso this evening.

I love that quote from 2017. It includes the fine print of "reimbursement/other" that his campaign promises conveniently left out. But of course he was already elected so it didn't matter any more.

The wall is and always was DOA.

Its amazing how Trumps base will pick Obama's words apart to make him say something he didnt say. Yet they will completely give Trump a pass for changing his position in front of their faces. And they will fight tooth and nail against democrats who try to hold Trump to his words.

They're still seething over 'you will keep the doctor you have' (which ended up putting millions of people on healthcare) but are so forgiving for 'Mexico will pay for the wall' (which they will now have to pay for to get ir built). Go figure.

None of them even had any legal proceedings. Republicans talked a big game just for the sake of court of public opinion. Never to actually put any of those "scandals" to the legal test.

For example. Obama's IRS didn't target conservatives as much as Bush's IRS targeted liberals. Fast and Furious began under a different name before Obama was elected. Solyndra was primarily an oil company.

All of those scandals are just talking points which republicans knew fully well could never bring legal problems for the Obama administration. The goal was to use it to win 2012 just like Benghazi's only purpose was to win 2016.
