Trump administration will impose tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese goods

United States will impose a 10% tariff later this month on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods, increasing to 25% at the end of the year, the Trump administration announced Monday.

Happening this month folks. China going to be reeling while consumers will pay slightly more (much more for some). China can only counter with $60 billion because we export so little to them. :p

Watch the loopholes and buying from other countries begin.

bad for the economy on the short term but good on the long term, China is a paper tiger, Chinas economy developed mostly due to cheap labor not to great entrepreneurs, legal system etc. The Chinese are notoriously full of crap and dishonest.
Trump wants to contain Chinas economic development and bring manufacturing back to the us, but will american consumers be willing to pay extra?
China is the worlds factory, i dont think manufacturing can shift back to the us that quickly, China can always do business with everyone else, therefore isolating some American industries.
America has a trump card in the sense that it is still the most technologically advanced and innovative country in the world, China needs American tech.
