Great news indeed Mody, as Kristen did exceedingly well in a comedic role during her first guest host appearance on SNL, as I was recently telling Ron and WWSmith on another thread. Hopefully one of the sketches will be a spoof of Charlie's Angels as this would give CA the added boost it may need to do well at the box office.

Omg i can only imagine the sketches i hope Naomi and Ella join her in one of them. This for sure will give exposure for the film as if Kristen is funny in it they will be like huh she is funny let's see if she is also funny In Charlie's Angels so yeah that will help.

This is why I hope we get another Charlie's Angels trailer, this time showcasing more of Kristen's comedic side, as CA director Elizabeth Banks said that Kristen has many humorous parts in this movie.

Very nice, I'll have to see that show as I rarely watch SNL. Thanks for the info and post Mody.

Thanks for this news, Mody.

I must add however that I did find it kind of funny that while Collider mentioned the Charlie's Angels tie-in, they included the photo of Kristen as Jean Seberg in the article.

It certainly would not surprise me if a take-off of Seberg was included in the show as well.

In fact, I can even imagine a skit combining both films, as the Angels help Jean fight off the investigation by those snarky FBI agents, all while munching on some more Totinos.

And speaking of Totinos, I guess that it wouldn't hurt to mention that the monster from Underwater is addicted to them.

I just noticed it wow. Also for sure Kristen will mention seberg to give it the same exposure as Charlie's Angels. Omg that Sketch was iconic i wonder what they will do with it this time

Kristen Stewart will be hosting SNL on Nov. 2. The date coincides with Stewart's newest film, the new Charlie's Angels, which arrives in theaters on Nov. 15.

From the link you posted Mody. The date in the link that she's on the show. :)

Remember, this Saturday SNL, Kristen hosts. She had some great skits the last time she hosted, so I hope for more of the same fun. :)

Thanks for the reminder Ron. Hopefully Kristen does another Giselle Bundchen impersonation, even though the Patriots are only midway through the season this time around.

I absolutely love this Kristen Stewart v. Kate McKinnon SNL promo ...

That was funny. I haven't watched SNL in a long time.

Oh my goodness Carved, an ultra bright LED bright light bulb lit up in my head after watching that promo! From all the years that I was a fan of Kristen I can't believe that I didn't recognize what type of role she excels in most--it was staring me right in the face--it being a dark comedic dramatic role. Think Christian Bale in "American Psycho", Edward Norton in "Fight Club", Uma Thurman in "Pulp Fiction", Kevin Spacey in "American Beauty", Malcolm McDowell in "A Clockwork Orange", Ron Livingston in "Office Space" and John Cusack in "Being John Malkovich".

The reason why I consider all these aforementioned films to be among my faves is because these actors all excelled in such dark roles. Thanks again Carved for posting, and SNL for recognizing this--they sure are an excellent judge of comedic talent in all of its forms. I'll be sure to make Kristen's character as dark as possible when called for in the screenplay I'm currently working on.

Funny little trailer video. Looking forward to SNL this weekend!!

Kristen has surely reinvented herself as an actor, showcasing some pretty good acting range. Especially loved watching her in Saturday Night Live's Rosie the Riveter sketch, which was my personal fave from her most recent SNL guest host appearance. Oddly enough, Kristen sure reminds me of a female version of Leonardo DiCaprio in "Gangs of New York".

I was so impressed by this performance that I decided to do another music video edit using snippets from this and her other SNL sketches along with clips from two of her upcoming feature films to the beat of Camila Cabello's song Easy, which she performed live on SNL a few weeks ago:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpypZuC_kn8

She had some good skits and did a great job with them. she's had some good sketches both times she was on SNL. As I watched I saw a good range of acting in her differing roles. LL, I agree with you there. The Rosie the Riveter was probably the best sketch they did and it gave Kristen a lot of "attitude" to work with. I also got some good laughs out of her question and answer scene.

I saw your video and commented on it, good job on that.

If I had to compare both of her appearances on Saturday Night Live, Ron, I would say that while she excelled in over-the-top humor at the superficial level in her first as guest host, in my opinion the second was wittier in terms of the sketches taking it to another level in terms of social, political and sexual overtones, leading me to hearty, belly laughs. In other words, her first appearance was overall more playful in nature while the second was sharp and biting satire to the very core. Yet ultimately, in both of her SNL appearances, the outcome was the same in the sense that the various sketches she had a role in left me rolling in the aisles, or rolling on the floor laughing, as in ROFL in internet slang.

reply

Yeah, I felt this second appearance was more weighty, more thought to it. I felt that she had a wider selection of characters to play that allowed her to show more acting range.

I also have to say that Kate McKinnon is a hoot! I don't see SNL very often but usually when I see Kate do a sketch it's pretty funny.

I also thought she was hilarious in the Ghostbusters remake as well as the animated features she starred in (i.e., Finding Dory, Leap!, Ferdinand, The Angry Birds Movie).

reply

Not only was Kristen hilarious in all of the sketches she had a part in, she again had good chemistry with Kate McKinnon and the other SNL cast members. But then again, I shouldn't be surprised as she has noteworthy chemistry with whomever she acts alongside with be it film, music videos, talk show interviews and of course, as guest host on SNL.
