what about people on fixed income

if every state increases to living wage, i know it seems selfish, but what if you can only earn so much like a disabled person. would the amount you can earn get increased?

I have a sister and I knew a few handicapped people who are in low minimum wage states and it helps to work part time but if every state was 15 an hour it would cause some problems for people

I'm sure Bernie can work that out and they are a small percentage of his vote, but I am curious what his answer is if he does get elected

I don't care if this isn't accepted but it's the truth. Raising the minimum wage is bad for businesses. They've already passed a raise of minimum wage bill here in Illinois which will raise to $15 an hour by 2025. Next year, it will raise to $9.25 an hour. At my work place, Kroger, they've already confirmed that because of the raise of minimum wage coming up the store will put another youscan section in. Which will result in some baggers and Cashiers being layed off. I am a bagger and have been for 10 years. I make $2.45 above minimum wage right now. There is no way I am going to be getting $17.40 an hour when it raises to $15 an hour in 2025. The people in my store who currently make $13 an hour right now are not going to suddenly be making $20 an hour when this goes through.

The same thing goes for everywhere else in America. This minimum wage raise plan Bernie and the other Democrats support will destroy jobs, raise the price of every product, and make life hard for the majority of Americans. Why Bernie Sanders and other liberal Democrats can't see that is beyond my comprehension. It's basic economics. Which they apparently have no knowledge of because they all want a fantasy world where nobody is poor or homeless. But everyone here is just going to say I'm wrong and act like minimum wage is supposed to be a living wage and that nobody should have to make above it to make a decent living for themselves.
