What happened to this guy?

He was, like, everywhere about 15 years ago: The League of Extraordinary Gentleman, Van Helsing, Moulin Rouge. Now? Squat! Not that I liked him, because I did not. Yes, he always played the antagonist, but he seemed to be a true asshole beneath the the makeup. Did the rest of the world see that as well, and gave him his marching orders?

He's been acting pretty steadily. I don't think he was ever really a leading man. But he does have over 70 acting credits listed on IMDB, and he was in Elvis last year.

Watch Rake. It might not be really recent - 2018 was the last season, but it is a fantastic series and it’s Australian. He is so good in this.
