Or just keep giving quality performances in both small indie films and major studio productions that gain her a great deal of respect from a wide range of people both inside the industry as well as fans of cinema, as she's been doing.

If the best criticism her harshest critics can come up with is "she looks like she's opening her mouth to give a blow job when she acts," she's doing a pretty great job.

Have you seen Martha Marcy May Marlene? Her debut, acted the shit out of that role, great movie all around. So, as is all too often the case, Hollywood basically said "Okay, you've now shown you're really good at acting, so now as a reward, you'll be in movies that require little actual acting, but will get you a ton of attention and money."
