Sinéad O'Connor obituary: A talent beyond compare

Doesn't leave out the negatives. Reform school. Four children, three failed marriages.
Was she diagnosed with bipolar in her late 30s? Should have been obvious in her 20s.

Reminds me of Gazza.

People always in disbelief at how crazy he was with "all that money". But the thing is, he would have been exactly the same without it, pissing whatever he had - working as a bricklayer or on a road gang or whatever - in Newcastle away.

Sometimes talent just lands on the very ordinary but it doesn't change the person underneath.

Sometimes if you look very closely at Paul McCartney and his beaky nose, you can just imagine him had fame never hit home, working as a Scouse bus driver or suchlike.
