As Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones is an awesome character who has been significantly underused.
An adventurer, a history professor searching for ancient relic and taking on the Nazis.
Spielberg and Lucas created him after Spielberg was unable to make Bond movies.
I want to see a lot more of this character on the big screen and like Bond I want to see him recast.
Many people go for Christ Pratt or Bradley Cooper, but for me Hamm would make a great Indy and is now a similar age to Harrison Ford at around the time Last Crusade was made.
More Indy adventures please

Interesting. I think he would look funny with lighter hair, though.

Why would he need lighter hair? If you are rebooting a series you don't have to try and find someone that looks identical to the previous character. The character would be an American professors... that's pretty much the only thing that is set in stone for the character.

I was thinking this would be in continuity with the movies. My mistake!

I don't see the issue with recasting Indy, the younger version of Jones has already been played by various characters, Harrison Ford was great – perfect! His first three Indy movies remain among my favourite films, yet I would of loved Indiana Jones to of gone the James Bond route, I miss the character and the 30's setting, the 1930’s is a great time for mystery and has the perfect villains to use.

Jon Hamm could definitely pull off Indiana Jones, I'd also love to see him play Bruce Wayne one day, a very charismatic actor!

If I was a casting director ... I'd say he's too stiff looking, and his image is wrong.

Did you ever see Marjorie Prime I think it was?

reply

Not seen that one, I know him from Mad Men mostly.
