She gave a great performance in The Night House.

One of the better leading performances from an Actress in a Horror film in recent memory.

She didn't show the same range of emotion nor the exuberant expression as say Toni Collette in Hereditary (that's largely down to how the characters were written), however she carried herself with real poise and grace and believably sold every thing that was demanded of her. Which is arguably more skillful than chewing scenery with shouting and over the top reactions.
