Alice Guy, the forgotten Film Pioneer
She was the first female director and producer in film history and yet hardly anyone knows her name: Alice Guy. She was extremely successful in Europe and America, but then erased from the annals of cinema. To this day it's symptomatic for many female filmmakers of an industry that's still dominated by men.
