when did he delete the tweets?

Before or after they came to light now?

reply

A few days ago when he realized people were dredging them up.

reply

Wow I figured he deleted them a few years ago when he hit the big time and when Twitter/SM really took off (dont think Twitter was really an everyday thing until maybe 2013) but someone had been able to dredge them up somehow or had saved them.. he mustve been cray cray to leave them on there all this time esp in this new PC era or maybe he just forgot (whoever it was that retweeted them all they had to do was type his twitter handle and some of the choice words he used in his 'jokes' into the search function to bring them up!)

Pretty careless.... Or was it? This guy has the theory that maybe on some level he wants to get caught?

Wonder if hed deleted them a few years ago if whoever it was RTd them had still been able to get them somehow via Google cache etc?

Bet Gunn wishes he had now! (its not like Twitter is like some message boards that don't offer the delete option and you have to beg the administrators to get rid of something you posted)

reply

Some of them may have been archived? But this likely would have never happened if he purged his history a few years back when he started to get major gigs.

Which begs the question, why didn't he?

reply

Probably so caught up in Hollywood/Guardians just forgot about them?

reply

Well, maybe because he wasn't taking them seriously? Not being an actual paedo was considering them just jokes. And thus - just forgot about them.

reply

OK, But who "jokes" about such things in a not at all funny way over and over and over again?

Disney material?

reply

that's one of the things that struck me about the jokes.. they weren't funny. had they been lol funny maybe hed have got away with it

reply

Artists do. Or at least they did before the dawn of the PC era. Beksinski once said something along these lines: I always wanted to rape someone. I mean, I wouldn't, I'm too civilized for that. But the desire is always there.

It wasn't a funny joke, it was the truth, the way he saw things. He probably never hurt anyone in his whole life, he was tunneling his 'criminal desires' into his art. That's the way artistic people deal with their dark side. It's either this or drugs, alcohol, antidepressants, obsession with fitness, scientology etc.
