Ghostbusters sucked

He needs to give up writing and directing after Ghostbusters. This movie revealed his lack of talent, so he should find a new career.

reply

His problem that he tries too hard to be progressive, making his films gimmicky female parodies or gender over substance. He just comes across as somebody who is really out of touch with what audiences really like.

reply

Or it is possible he knows what the power that be in Hollywood want and so he gives them what they want to earn a paycheck. I don't know anything about his personal life but wouldn't it be a hoot if he was a conservative racist bigot that just threw out the crap like Ghostbusters because he needed to pay the bills.

reply

He comes across as a feminist, blaming men for how his Ghostbusters turned out.

It feels like making the Ghostbusters women was his idea as a lot of sources indicate.

reply

You are probably right... I just thought it would have been funny as hell if he wasn't some neutered douche that actually believe in the fem-nazi dogma.

reply

Also he seems a hypocrite because hypocrites always express one thing like Feig is always about women's rights and could be a pervert behind closed doors.

reply

I disagree. I thought Ghostbusters was pretty good.

reply

lol 2 year old thread i dont even remember writing... its like a different person wrote it

doesn't matter, lots of movies suck, join the club. not sure why I said dude should change careers, but my post is a micro blip heading for infinite darkness; an unaccounted ricegrain in the sink.

reply

I've read in places that he only likes working with women.

reply

I respectfully disagree.

Ghostbusters did suck, but I can see why he thought it wouldn't. The cast was strong, the idea was kinda interesting and piggybacking off of successful franchises seems to be the wave right now. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to redo Jurassic Park? And you know what sucked? Jurassic World. But it still got a second movie and made a shit-tonne of money.

Generally, his films rate over a 6 most of the time and that's a good thing. I think he deserves some credit and more chances to show what he can do.
