I wish she had made more films

There are just not that many out there and when you do catch one (currently watching The High Bright Sun) she is very watchable and beautiful. Most of her credits seem to be long gone TV episodes or Marilyn Monroe commentaries but I'm vaguely sure she was quite famous once.

As you said she did a lot of single episode TV shows, but her best moment I think was when she starred in 1968s Psych-Out. She was Lee Strasberg's daughter, but as far as being real famous, she never was. At least not more than someone who was semi-successful in TV and movies.

I don't think that's quite right. I just seem to remember seeing her a lot on TV chat shows and programs about Marilyn Monroe and perhaps in the newspapers. Maybe part of that was because she was Strasberg's daughter and knew all the method actors of the time? I think also an early theater career would have made her more famous but there is no IMDb equivalent to easily check that.
