I am pretty sure she had it removed, as I don't remember seeing it when she was naked in "Hit and Miss", but it was extremely noticeable in Boys Don't Cry. I'm guessing she probably had it removed as a safety precaution or at a doctor's advice, as those things can sometimes turn into melanoma.
