Her movies 'It Rained all Night..." and 'Foxes'

I saw an interview with her where she talks about filming these movies at the same time and how she would have to fly back and forth from Tel Aviv, Israel for 'It Rained All Night the Day I Left' to Los Angeles to film scenes in 'Foxes.' Even though she didn't explain it, I was curious how she got the money to do that because neither of those movies were big budget films, and she mentioned how she would spend the night in London before heading on to her destination. She said she did that at least four times going back and forth. She must've had quite a stash of cash.

Also, she mentioned Jodie Foster would stay in her trailer in between takes studying her French in 'Foxes', but I'm pretty sure Jodie studied and learned French when she was in the 6th or 7th grade because there are clips of her speaking it on Youtube when she is around that age. She looks to be about 12. She was about 16 or 17 when Foxes was made. Maybe it was Advanced, ADVANCED French she was studying then, like still taking English when you are in high school.
