Unpopular opinion, Adam Sandler was never funny, he was just in some good films

This is not a hate post & please don't misunderstand me. I'm NOT saying he's a bad actor. I think he's an excellent actor. He ESPECIALLY shines in dramatic roles

He's been in some good comedies But I honestly just don't think he's funny.

You're mixing him up with Ben Stiller.

Adam Sandler was funny in his 90s movies.

Merely being "in some good films" implies you could replace him with another actor and the result would be just as good if not better. But I struggle to imagine anyone taking Sandler's place in, say, Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore. He clearly contributed more to those roles than just having a pulse.
