She played a teen mom abused by her mom, but her scars and bruises were real, not makeup. She even has a swollen jaw. I watched this show as a kid years ago. I agree with her fans, if the cast and production staff, saw her condition, why didn't someone reach out and help her?

I think it was just different times, unfortunately. People were less inclined to get into others' business. Physical punishment was more accepted and overlooked. Not saying it's right, just the reality.
shareI recall hearing about her death as a teen years ago, There were red flags her boyfriend was abusive, his dad was abusive according to a video I saw. Who knows why she stayed with him, or agreed to talk to him when he killed her is beyond understanding.
