Graham Chapman, 1987

In 1987 my friend, Rick Chafen, conducted an interview with Graham while he was on a speaking tour.

It can be seen, if you are interested, at

Please note, this is not the final edited version. We went back and recorded the questions with the camera on Rick so I could cut back and forth. Graham was not present for that part of the taping.

Sorry about the quality. I didn't do the video to digital transfer for this presentation.

Also, and even more importantly, if you've never seen John Cleese's eulogy you should check it out. The link below is for an abbreviated version and, once again, the quality is poor but you can read the complete text at the second link.

Thanks for sharing that. He comes off as very lovely, soft-spoken, shy, and humble. It's good to see him cogent. One worries that he'd be in the grips of his alcoholism, but he didn't appear to be - although he did seem somewhat nervous.

Quality's not bad, actually. Certainly audible and visible.
