I've only seen Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting, Steve Jobs and 28 Days Later.

I'm among the few who didn't like Trainspotting, and I didn't care much about Slumdog Millionaire. They are not bad movies by any means, just not my cup of tea.

This being said, I have a huge admiration for Steve Jobs and 28 Days Later.

So my ranking would be:

1- Steve Jobs - It was a pleasant surprise for me as I didn't have high expectations . The writing is just OUTSTANDING. I've rarely seen a movie showing so little, having such long dialogues and still be so energetic and interesting. I compare to David Fincher's The Social Network. Both movies are 90% of people talking with each others and without much action, but they are done in a way that you don't even care about it because of the fun and that the lines are really dynamic.

2- 28 Days Later - At the time of its release it was a fresh new approach one the zombie genre. What I really like is that the zombies are not really there, the movie does not rely on a lot of zombie shootings to be interesting. Instead, we have a more psychological film in which we fallow a group of people in this post-apocalyptic world. I love Romero's Dead trilogy. It set the formula for zombies movies and are highly entertaining. 28 Days Later is a way slower movie and this passing which gives us this impression of emptiness is an interesting concept, I loved it.

And then:

3- Trainspotting
4- Slumdog Millionaire
