Eric Stoltz is an actor I have considered for What the Hell Happened. But the truth is, I don’t know much about him. The two things he is probably most known for are being replaced by Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future and dating Bridget Fonda in the nineties. As this profile from the Decmber 1994 issue of Movieline magazine reveals, Stoltz didn’t play the Hollywood game. He was apparently one of those actors writers hated to interview. But I think you have to give Stoltz credit for the humorous way in which he dodges Stephen Saban’s questions with detours into discussions of punctuation and claiming that the director he would most like to work with is the infamous Alan Smithee.
