The whole Victor Salva thing makes him look like a creep

i remember reading that FFC was a big fan of salva's indie horror film clownhouse, and wanted to help him make a feature lengthed horror film. he claims he did not know that salva was a convicted pedofile until after JC was already finished and did the 2nd movie because the 1st did well financially. sounds like a load of BS to me. i bet FFC is a pedo himself. he clearly has no problem badgering and threatening a child who was raped by his friend, so he clearly does not see child rape as that big of a deal.

Throughout Salva's tribulations, Coppola has remained his loyal patron. After Salva's release from prison, Coppola gave him $5,000, which he lived on for a year. When MGM was nervous about hiring Salva to direct "Jeepers Creepers," Coppola, then producing a slate of films at the studio, vouched for him.

"Someone had launched a campaign against Victor, saying, 'How can you give this guy a movie to make?' " recalls Coppola… “So I helped Victor get the job… My attitude is, he has a talent, and that talent in itself is good. We don't have to embrace the person in believing that their art is a contribution to society."

Coppola was on hand for some of the filming of "Clownhouse" — since it was made, in part, at Coppola's home in Napa Valley. "I didn't know of anything improper going on, although I witnessed some things that caused me to raise an eyebrow," he says. "Only in retrospect did things really add up. You have to remember, while this was a tragedy, that the difference in age between Victor and the boy was very small — Victor was practically a child himself." (Actually, Salva was 29 to the boy's 12.)

If Coppola really said that bolded part then he's a sick bastard himself.

Imagine calling a near 30 year old 'practically a child' and saying they're not much older than a 12 year old. Salva's a public figure and his date of birth is public knowledge.

In a YouTube interview with The Millennial Report, in 2018, Winters spoke about the work he had to do after the principal photography. He had spent eight to nine hours a day doing the dubbing for a month. This took place at Francis Ford Coppola's home. During this time, he was told he would never work in the industry again, and he never did. Coppola later tried to sue Winters for breach of contract.
